<h2>Lecture Halls :</h2>
Air-conditioned lecture halls of the university give the comfortable ambience to the students to learn and develop more. All the Lecture Halls are equipped with Projectors and PC. They have comfortable seating of rotatable chairs. There are teatre style classrooms also for better interaction between facutly and students.&nbsp;
<h2>Library :</h2>
Library is basically a collection of sources, resources and services. Library and Information Centre here extensively utilizes Information Technology so that best source and information can reach to the user. The library has been automated using Alice for Windows (AfW) - an international user friendly library package. The software facilitates automated circulation (issue-return) of books and speedy access to bibliographic, location and availability information of the books in the library.
<h2>Laboratory :</h2>
Empirical experiences are pre-requisites for scientific and engineering education. The University has created a number of sector relevant engineering laboratories which are well equipped to facilitate the pedagogic and research process.

<h2>Cafeteria &amp; Food Courts :</h2>
The University has ensured that the students enjoy a healthy food diet charted out by a dietitian which is wholesome and nutritious. The food court also provides refreshments throughout the day. The cafeteria is attractively laid out and offers students an eco-friendly environment to relax while deliberating on their academic challenges.
<h2>Performing Arts Room :</h2>
This room is particularly built to keep the Culture alive in SLS. Students prepare and practice for their Dance, Music, Drama etc. competition and SLS cultural activities in this room. Theatre, Music and Dance class is also conducted here. It has mirror on one wall and empty space to practice.
<h2>Language Lab :</h2>
To enable students to comprehend and use languages efficiently, PDEU has set up multi-media Language Laboratory (Language Lab) set in 2110 sq. feet spacious room. The Language Lab at PDEU is a Computer based laboratory with flexibility to conduct laboratory sessions without computers also. The software used in the Language Lab is developed by Globarena Technologies Private Limited. The Software has default 200-hour self-learnable digital program.

<h2>Hostel Facility for National/ International Students:</h2>
The university offers residential facility on campus.&nbsp;Each Hostel block of the University offers a variety of Social and Academic oriented activities that make it possible to learn more not only about you but also about those living in hostel.
Our in-campus residential facilities offer furnished hostel rooms on three seat sharing basis subject to its availability. This is an optional facility offered to the students. Separate hostels are for female students. There are Wi-Fi enabled hostel blocks which are well-designed to meet general needs of the students. These include emergency medical facilities, a doctor on call and a well equipped and comfortable lounge to facilitate group activities.
<h2>Security:</h2>
Access into the Hostel areas is controlled 24 hours Securities. For Girls rooms and their privacy are been taken care of specially.
<h2>Furnished Rooms:</h2>
Rooms in the residence halls vary in shape and size. All are well furnished; some furniture is movable and some furniture is built in. All of the rooms come fully furnished with beds, desks, chairs.
<h2>Open Lounges:</h2>
Each residence hall is provided with ample lounges for kicking back, studying for the next exam, or just relaxing with each other. On ground floor of each hostel has television facility where students can watch it in their leisure time.
<h2>Wi-Fi Enabled Roms:</h2>
Each room in all of our halls has two Ethernet ports connected to the campus network and the internet. Students can work on their assignments and projects easily and have access to online learning material as well.
<h2>Laundry:</h2>
The laundry service is available at Hostel on chargeable basis. Students can manage with their time schedule for study and other activities without bothering for these basic necessities.
<h2>Fitness Facility:</h2>
University has its Wellness Center Facility available on chargeable basis. The students access the gymnasiums as per their convenience. Trainer is also available to assist on right fitness tricks.

<h2>Sports Academy</h2>
In order to develop students as players, PDEU developed a Sports Academy.
Sports Academy Objectives
- To identify students with outstanding abilities and place them in an environment designed to produce sporting and educational excellence
- To encourage students to maintain their academic interest using sport as the means of engaging them to achieve the best they can be
- To provide opportunities for males and females to continue playing sport competitively upon leaving school and develop exit pathways to encourage further participation.
- To develop a culture in which students behave with dignity, professionalism and respect.
- To provide lifelong learning experiences through teamwork, discipline and cooperation.
Sports Academy Deliverables
- Access to all the Sporting facilities on PDEU&rsquo;s campus.
- Coaching sessions led by an professional external coach.
- Opportunity for trials&nbsp; of representative teams of university, which will participate in tournaments all around the nation.
- Bespoke Sports Academy Kit for players.
Sports Academy Rules
1. All the academy members are treated equally and fairly to ensure they aspire to their full potential on and off the playing field.
2. For students and staff to work within an environment which applies learning concepts, long term development principles and best practice in the development of the elite performance.
3. Only qualified coaches will work with the academy.
4. A culture of improvement and personal development will&nbsp; drive Sports Academy Provision.
5. Players who are regular to the practice sessions only will be selected in University&rsquo;s team
6. There will be two groups for coaching: &nbsp; &nbsp; - Probable players of the university&rsquo;s team &ndash; Executive Members of Academy. &nbsp; &nbsp; - Interested player&rsquo;s for learning a game / sport &ndash; Members of Academy
7. Practice sessions will be of two types:- &nbsp; &nbsp; - &nbsp;First type, only for executive members and &nbsp; &nbsp; - &nbsp;Second type, for all the Members.
8. There will be shifting of players every week from category 1 to 2 and vice versa as per the directions of Office of Sports.
9. Players have to pass a nominal medical / fitness test by the coach concerned before becoming a member of the Academy.

<h2>About Gandhinagar</h2>
Gandhinagar, Gujarat's capital city, rises on the west bank of the Sabarmati River, about 30 kms. North East of Ahmedabad, the commercial and cultural heart of Gujarat. Gandhinagar presents the spacious, well-organized look of an architecturally integrated city. Gandhinagar, a well-planned city, stretches into 30 sectors into which the city has been divided. Apart from this there is a generous provision for wide-open green parks, extensive plantations and a large recreational area along the river giving the city a lush green garden-city atmosphere.
The Gandhinagar - Ahmedabad area, is known for the renowned Indian Institute of Management, National Institute of Design, Indian Space Research Organization, Physical Research Laboratory, Institute of Plasma Research and Entrepreneurial Development Institute, amongst others.
<h2>Akhshardham Temple:</h2>

Akshardham is situated in the capital city of Gandhinagar, which lies near Ahmedabad. The magnificent temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. The temple has pink stones with beautiful carvings. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and awesome fountains.

In sector 9 and along the river front is the lovely Sarita Udyan, an ideal spot for picnickers. The entire area is being developed to provide full recreational facilities.

The Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, so named after the holy river Sabarmati, situated on the river&rsquo;s banks is such an example. This site no longer functions as a working ashram but as a museum and an institution whose aim is to preserve and propagate the legacy of the Mahatma. Hundreds of visitors, both foreigners and locals, with curiosity and feelings of devotion arrive here and feel inspired and enlightened.

<h2>Fossil Park-Indroda Nature Park:</h2>

Indroda Nature Park (INP) which is spread over an area of about 400 ha in Gandhinagar- the capital city of Gujarat. The Park is divided into two parts on the banks of river Sabarmati. The western part is known as Indroda Nature Park and the eastern part of the river Sabarmati is known as Wilderness Park. The Park has many interesting facets.
A dinosaur fossil park at Indroda wherein the fossilized remains as well as life &ndash; sized models of this prehistoric fauna of Gujarat are displayed. Their ecosystem depicting the floral diversity with pines, palm, ferns and other early angiosperms such as magnolias are grown to make the set up seem life like.

<h2>Thol Lake-Bird sanctuary:</h2>

Thol lake bird sanctuary is a shallow freshwater body surrounded by marshes on the edge and scrubby forest embarking the sides. The lake sanctuary covering an area of 7 square kilometers was declared officially in 1988 and is also known by the name of Thol Bird Sanctuary.

Heritage walk is conducted by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. A volunteer guide takes visitors on tour of wonderful architecture and intricacies of lanes of Old Ahmedabad.

Adalaj Vav is counted amongst the finest architectural structures of Gujarat. It was built by Queen Rudabai, in 1499 AD.

<h2>Calico Museum of Textile:</h2>

Calico Museum of Textiles is one of the finest museums to be set up in India. The museum houses one of the rare collections of textiles, dating back to the 17th century. It is presently located in the Sarabhai Foundation, in the Shahibag premises. Calico museum is the world's best museum on textiles.

<h2>Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary:</h2>

The lake - Nalsarovar - and the wetlands around it were declared a bird sanctuary in 1969. Spread over 120 sq.kms, the lake and the extensive reed beds and marshes are an ideal habitat for aquatic plants and animals. The lake attracts a large variety of birds like plovers, sandpipers and stints.

The Sun temple of Gujarat is situated at Modhera. It is akin to the Sun Temple at Konark and is dedicated to the Sun God, Lord Surya. Though the temple has lost its glory of the yore, it is still an architectural and art master piece. It was built in 1026 AD

A flat, salt-cracked vast barren desert, hissing sand storms and the majestic Ghudkhar roaming over mirage waters make the little rann of Kachchh an unique and one of the most fascinating wilderness of the world.

Gir Jungle Trail, outside the fenced area, traverses deciduous forest and is home to wildlife including vultures and pythons. The Kamleshwar Dam has marsh crocodiles and birds, such as Indian skimmers and pelicans.

<h2>Wellness Centre</h2>
A nutritious diet and a good workout helps students to combat academic stress. PDEU has set up a state of the art wellness centre which offers cardio &amp; weight training equipment and helps students workout under the expert supervision of a certified trainer.
The wellness centre can look after the needs of more than 50 students per session and is functional throughout the day.
As part of its wellness initiative, the university also provides an open ground for outdoor games, such as football and cricket and practice courts for basketball, volleyball and badminton.

<h2 align="justify">Center for Counseling Services </h2>
The cnetre is an on-campus support that is dedicated to the emotional health and wellness of the students and staff at PDEU. The center works to raise general awareness of mental health issues, as well as providing individual counseling sessions and group interventions when required.
The Centre is headed by Ms. Arpita Bohra, who has trained in Counseling Psychology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She also has UNESCO-CID certification in Creative Arts Therapy.
<h3>Frequently Asked Questions</h3>
1.) What is counseling? What happens in a session? Counseling is a process where the counselor helps the client to express, feel, understand and feel comfortable with their emotions, moods, memories and their self. A counselor does not give advice, instant solutions or tell you to forget it/ move on, but help you observe yourself and to work on creating healthier thoughts, beliefs and choices. Each session varies according to the needs of the person, as does the length of the process and follow up sessions. Sessions are either 30 mins or 45 mins.
2.) Who goes for it? How do I know I need counseling? You may wish to seek counseling if you are not feeling well and finding it difficult to cope with day to day activities and tasks. Below is a list of issues many people may visit a counselor for.
- Depression (low mood, crying, changes in hunger, sleep and concentration levels)
- Anxiety (sleeplessness, a constant feeling of worry, panic attacks)
- Suicidal thoughts, self-harm, intense bouts of anger.
- Grief- losing a loved one
- Sexual and/or physical abuse
- Conflicts around sexual identity
- Relationship difficulties, with peers or family members
- Stress- no matter how severe or slight, if it is bothering you, it can help to talk to someone about it.
- You may wish to write to the counselor even if your issues do not fit into any of this. Strict confidentiality will be maintained, and whatever is revealed to the counselor, whether written or spoken will not be shared with anyone else.
3.) What if I think my friend needs help? Sit down and share your concerns with your friend clearly, and encourage them to consider speaking to the counselor about it. You may wish to speak to the counselor if it is affecting you. However, you cannot force anyone to seek counseling. It is best to stay empathetic to your friend, and keep making efforts.
4.) I know I&rsquo;m not going crazy, but I feel low a lot the time. Should I talk to someone? It can always help to share and express what you are feeling. Talking the counselor does not mean you are &ldquo;crazy&rdquo; or that you have a severe mental illness. As humans, we all go through ups and downs- and during a sensitive or a low phase and it can help to speak to someone who is not directly involved with your life.
